ok I have a couple suggestions…and you can choose the best one that fits your liking.
    set of dumbbells
Dyna Bands (or elastic exercise bands)
    a mat (for core work)
    jump rope
exercise ball (the huge yoga ones)
Lastly is some sort of cardio equipment if you choose…I’d go with a bike which is smaller and simple on the joints, then when its nice out you can go outside for a jog to switch it up.

The “best home workout equipment” varies from person to person. Some may consider their free weight gym the best, the most integral part of their fitness equipment. Others will tell you their indoor pool is the best. Still others will swear by their inclined treadmills as the best. Some will tell you that their best equipment is the lack of it, that all they need are their own bodies to do calisthenics or skip rope.

That being said, I will tell you my favorite home workout equipment. For resistance training, I like my TotalGym. You may have seen those infomercials with Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley. Chuck Norris will turn seventy next spring, and might be the fittest person his age on the planet. This versatile piece of equipment will work every muscle in your body, and it uses your own body weight, so you won’t have to buy a bunch of extra weights. You can go right to their website, or try Ebay, where you can find them used, at a considerable discount. I bought mine for a steep discount under the rubric “refurbished,” which simply meant it had been shipped and returned.

For any fitness regine, you need to pay attention to flexibility and aerobic endurance also. Muscular strength without these two will not get you far on the road to total fitness. Muscle strains are the number one sports injuries, and only flexibility training will help you avoid them. So, a yoga mat or something to practice stretching on is a must. Click on the second link below for free information about how to start a yoga routine.

My equipment of choice for aerobic training is a unicycle. It is a perfect cross between running and bicycling, and burns a lot of calories as it works both the lower body–propulsion–and the upper–balance. I like to do roadwork on it, and it is my favorite aerobic activity.

You may prefer a treadmill, a stair climber, or a cross-country skiing machine. All are excellent. If you want a low-cost, highly effective aerobic exercise, try rope skipping. It will whip yor into shape in no time. Take it slowly to start.

I wish you all my best in locating the best equipment for you. You are the only one who can define best for yourself.
