I have lost a lot of weight over the past few years, yet I still have body stout still on me. Like on my arms, chest and on my sides. I lose weight by exercising but I have yet to do weight training. If I were to start weight training, how long would it take to see the stout go away and how many times a week should i weight train to get the absolute effect?
Ive been out of the weight training loop for about 6 years now because of injuries. I really miss it, but could use some guidance. Im figuring on starting training at home till I break back into it and than join a gym. Thanks for your help.

I want to get in shape to try and boost my confidence levels. I’ve just start cardio. Swimming 4 times a week for an hour and light running at the moment for about 15-20 minutes once a week.
What are the benefits of weight training if I take it up?
I used to do an hour of cardio but that got dull. So i started doing 45 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of weight training. I have noticed that I didn’t lose any weight, but rather gained weight. If i stop doing weight training and return to cardio will my muscle become stout?
